Flagship events

Alongside the many thousands of events and activities set to run as part of National Family Week 2010, we have teamed up with 16 organisers spread across the UK who have committed to delivering large-scale, first-class events for families in their community and the surrounding area - these are known as our flagship events. There will be 8 flagship Family Week Picnic events (Monday 31 May) and 8 flagship Family Week Sports Day events (Saturday 5 June).

Picnics

Organisers of the flagship Family Week Picnics will be providing thousands of families with the opportunity to spend a fun-filled day in the fresh-air together. The locations are:

• Alexandra Palace Family Week Picnic - London (Greater London)

Sports Days

Organisers of the flagship Family Week Sports Days will be providing families with a sports day extravaganza giving them the opportunity to try out a whole range of fun, sports based activities. The locations are:

• Manchester Family Week Sports Day - Manchester
• Newcastle Family Week Sports Day - Tyne and Wear
• Wakefield Family Week Sports Day - West Yorkshire
