Flagship event

The Barnstaple Family Week Picnic will be one of National Family Week's 8 flagship picnics organised by the Barnstaple Lions Club in partnership with Barnstaple Town Council. Families will be able to enjoy a feast of fun including the Sea Cadets giving a Field Gun display, face painting, children's rides, hair braiding, Punch & Judy and children's races organised by Fuderzone, the Barnstaple Town Marching Band and Barnstaple Majorettes.

Watch out for RAF Chivenor who will be flying in with a Sea King Search and Rescue Helicopter, landing in Rock Park giving picknickers the chance to get up close and personal. There will also be plenty of good food including Devon's finest cream teas, with proceeds from the day going to the Help for Heroes fund.

So don't miss out on one of the biggest, free events for families set to take place as part of National Family Week 2010.
