
Bath & North East Somerset Council are hosting one of National Family Week's 8 flagship sports days. Families will be able to try out a wealth of fun based sporting activities suitable for all ages and abilities. Highlights will include a primary school rugby festival organised by Bath Rugby and a World Cup themed Girls Football tournament. There will also be a cycle skills challenge, boot camp circuit for adults, obstacle course for children, climbing wall, rowing and cycling challenges, inflatable fun with bungee run and bouncy castle and 'Try It' activities including Ultimate Frisbee and Extreme Golf. Plus there will be demonstrations of Tae Kwon Do, Gymnastics and Fencing and for the not-so-sporty types, fun activities including face painting, live music and a circus skills workshop.
In addition there will be fundraising activities with KICK for children with cancer, Speed Gun & a Beat the Goal Keeper Challenge plus an endurance event on 30 static bikes. Families will be able to receive health checks and advice on stopping smoking plus Book Start will be giving away free books! Families can also look out for special appearances from the Paralympics Team GB athletes.
