Family Insight / Research

Over the past three years National Family Week has conducted numerous national surveys into families and family life in the UK.

As part of National Family Week 2011, we surveyed over 2,000 adults using One Poll and the focus was on family time and the impact of technology on family life. From our poll we discovered that one in ten families sit down for a meal together just once in a typical week and the average parent sends 600 texts, 312 emails and spends 28 hours on the phone every year – keeping track of the kids.

Our findings over the last three years have hit headlines across the world and in 2012 we plan to carry out an even bigger survey through multiple channels.
