At a time that families find themselves under so much pressure, not least through the credit crunch, to have a week when families are encouraged to celebrate being family and doing things together is timely. Across England and Wales, the Baptist Union has over 2,100 churches welcoming families. Sunday worship services often have special sessions for children and teenagers or informal all-age times for the whole family. Also there are many activities that go on through the week - from toddler and carer groups, through clubs for various age groups from children to grandparents. There are often special events in holiday times as well. The warm welcome and family-feel of our churches is often commented on by people going along for the first time.
