Family Lives

Family Lives is a national charity providing support, advice and help for parents who want it via its website, email support service, face to face individually and in groups and via a number of local services. Family Lives has a free 24/7 ‘Parentline’ helpline on 0808 800 2222. Family Lives Parentline call takers help by listening to the caller and help them find their own solutions which gives them the confidence to enact upon them; referring on to more specialist agencies of necessary; sending information leaflets where appropriate, or booking the caller in for Parentline Plus’ additional services such as extended telephone support, group or face to face support. The golden thread that runs through all of Family Lives’ services is peer to peer support, with parent volunteers providing over 20,000 hours of support last year alone. Family Lives is about families helping families.
