Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
Families are at the heart of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's work and so we are very proud to support the first ever National Family Week. There are lots of ways families can get together and get involved with the charity through our support networks, fundraising and events - together we're stronger.

Muscle diseases are progressive conditions that cause muscles to waste and weaken making it hard for those affected to do even the simplest tasks. They don't just affect the muscles in the arms and legs but the heart and respiratory muscles too.
Many conditions are life-limiting. There are no cures.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity focusing on muscle disease. We are dedicated to improving the lives of babies, children and adults who are affected.
- We provide free practical and emotional support to families
- We fund world-class research to find effective treatments and cures
- We campaign to raise awareness and bring about change
- We award grants towards the cost of specialist equipment, such as powered wheelchairs.
- We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to fund our vital work.
Events - get involved
Families are at the heart of our work. We are here to provide vital support and information to help them face the daily challenges of living with muscle disease. We run information and support days for children, adults and families with muscle disease, to find out more visit www.muscular-dystrophy.org/how_we_help_you/care_events or call 0800 652 6352 (freephone).
We organise a wide range of fundraising events which bring together communities all over the UK. Our Young Pavement Artists Competition has been uniting children of all ages and abilities for 23 years, and continues to go from strength to strength. Visit www.muscular-dystrophy.org/pavementart for more information. All money raised from the competition comes to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
