School Governors' One Stop Shop

There is an African saying, which is "Give a child an education and you give them an inheritance for life," and parents have a critical role to play in ensuring their children take advantage of the benefits and life chances that schools offer. While this responsibility starts at home, there is also the opportunity for parents to help shape the quality of education children receive by volunteering to become a governor in a local school. I believe National Family Week is exactly the right time for those not yet involved to consider coming forward, and the School Governors' One-Stop Shop is here to help; its services are free!
