Stop it Now!
Stop it Now! UK and Ireland and the Lucy Faithfull Foundation are delighted to be supporting National Family Week. Working closely with families is fundamental to creating a society where children grow up safe free from sexual abuse and exploitation. National Family Week is a great way of celebrating working together to protect children.

Stop it Now! UK and Ireland is a child sexual abuse prevention campaign led and managed by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation. We support adults to play their part in prevention through providing sound information, educating members of the public, training those who work with children and families and running a freephone confidential helpline (0808 1000 900 / help@stopitnow.org.uk).
We believe that child sexual abuse is preventable, not inevitable and that by working together we can prevent the sexual abuse of children.
Parents Protect!
We operate the information and advice website parentsprotect.co.uk. This site is designed to help parents and carers do the best they can to protect children from sexual abuse. Key features on the site include a learning programme which people can work through in their own time and advice on how to create a ‘family safety plan’.
We also offer Parents Protect! presentations to parents and carers through Children’s Centres, Schools, Faith Groups etc. These 90 minute sessions give those attending the sound information they need to help keep their children safe.
People who have attended a Parents Protect! event have been asked what actions they would take following the seminar. Responses have ranged from very proactive and specific actions, such as; accessing additional information, talking with their children about issues to do with child sexual abuse and keeping safe and talking with their partners and friends, to those that were more general such as being more aware of what to look out for and generally encouraging greater openness with their children.
