The Lesbian and Gay Foundation believe in a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay and bisexual people can achieve their full potential.
Nowhere is this vision more important than in our families and this is why we are proud to support National Family Week and it’s aim to celebrate families, in all of their diversity.
The things that are happening in our family life are often those that affect us the most. Sometimes, we can take these relationships for granted or forget just how important family members are in our lives. It is important to remember that not all of us are lucky enough to have our families around us and without close family relationships we may feel lonely and isolated. This is why we believe that all lesbian, gay and bisexual people should be supported by their families and hope that National Family Week will go some way into reminding all of us, whatever our sexual orientation, to take some time to tell the people that we care about how much we value them and their support.
